Since it's now holiday shopping season, you're probably on the look out for some great gifts for that golfer in your life. May we suggest something that will remind them of their ineptitude?
Uncommon Goods, which offers, well, uncommon gifts of all kinds, is offering a PGA Tour-licensed collection of gifts made with golf balls collected from the water surrounding the par-3 17th at TPC Sawgrass, home of The Players Championship. The collection includes a cufflinks, a bottle opener, a wallet and, for the ladies, a necklace.
The cufflinks, necklace and wallet sport the covers of golf balls pulled from the water hazard at the island-green hole. The bottle opener has three whole balls with the handle running through holes drilled into each of the balls.
The gifts range in price from $75 to $150, so they're not cheap. But, who knows, one of the three balls you plunked in the water at 17 might wind up in one of these gifts. Then again, the odds of that are pretty low since course officials estimate over 100,000 golf balls go into the water at the par-3 17th at TPC Sawgrass each year.
