The matches have been set for Day 1 of the 2015 Presidents Cup, which will feature one five-match session of foursomes, also known as alternate shot.

U.S. captain Jay Haas and International captain Nick Price sat on opposite sides of a wall, with their respective assistant captains, and set each individual match before moving onto the next one on the docket. The nature of submitting picks one after another led to some delay in announcing the selections, but we wind up with five matches that start on Thursday morning at 11:05 a.m. local time.

Here are the five foursomes matches for Day 1 of the 2015 Presidents Cup:

Match 1: Bubba Watson/J.B. Holmes (USA) vs. Adam Scott/Hideki Matsuyama (Int'l)

Match 2: Matt Kuchar/Patrick Reed (USA) vs. Louis Oosthuizen/Branden Grace (Int'l)

Match 3: Rickie Fowler/Jimmy Walker (USA) vs. Anirban Lahiri/Thongchai Jaidee (Int'l)

Match 4: Phil Mickelson/Zach Johnson (USA) vs. Jason Day/Steven Bowditch (Int'l)

Match 5: Jordan Spieth/Dustin Johnson (USA) vs. Danny Lee/Marc Leishman (Int'l)

Sitting out:

USA: Bill Haas, Chris Kirk

Int'l: Sangmoon Bae, Charl Schwartzel
