Darren Clarke tells the best Miguel Angel Jimenez story

Miguel Angel Jimenez is a connoisseur of great wine, cigars and food -- apparently, even during crunch time in the Ryder Cup.

On Golf Channel's "Feherty Live", 2016 European Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke told a great story from 2012 at Medinah, when Jimenez was a vice-captain for Jose Maria Olazabal.

"I was trying to be the court jester on the radio, and messing with everybody and stuff. And Jose Maria was trying to get information off Miguel Angel Jimenez. And Miguel, bless him, he's a nice man -- maybe not the sharpest, but a nice man. ... On the earpiece, I say, 'Come in, Miguel.' No update. 'Miguel, are you there?' Not a peep. 'Earth to Miguel.' Still not a peep. Eventually, 15 minutes goes by and we're at the crucial stage in one of the matches, and Miguel pipes up over the radio, 'I have sandwich.'"

Who knew Jimenez, in addition to being the Most Interesting Man in Golf, also is our sport's Brick Tamland?
