George McNeill’s Greenbrier Classic ace nets 18th hole fans $100 each

George McNeill just made his gallery at The Greenbrier Classic a little richer on Thursday. McNeill, who finished second here last year just hours after his sister's death, aced the par-3 18th at host Old White TPC in Thursday's first round.

As is tournament tradition -- this is the sixth year for the event -- when a player aces the 18th hole, each fan in the grandstands to see the ace gets paid $100 from resort owner Jim Justice.

That's more than worth the price of admission to a tournament that not only boasts a gorgeous course but also has a great concert series each year.
