It's not that John Daly doesn't want to exercise so much that he wants to light up while he's working out.

In an interview on WGN-TV, Daly, who was promoting his line of liquors, was asked if any guys on the PGA Tour are accessible figures. The two-time major winner didn't seem to think so.

"Most of the guys wear hats, most of them work out every day," said the 49-year-old. "I wish I could (work out), but I just don't want to. They won't let me smoke in the gym."

The interviewer plays along, bantering with Daly about this travesty.

"What is wrong," Daly asks, "with having a treadmill with an ashtray and a beer holder?"

That sounds like a money-making idea. John Daly could be golf's George Foreman.
