A day after Rory McIlroy heaved a 3-iron into the water hazard at the par-5 eighth at TPC Blue Monster at Trump Doral, the ill-fated club has been recovered.

A diver waded into the hazard on Saturday and retrieved the club McIlroy threw after his second shot in Round 2 wound up well left of his intended target and at the bottom of the drink. McIlroy said after the 2-under 70 on Friday that he could afford to throw the club in the water because he didn't believe he would need it for the final 10 holes at the Gil Hanse-designed course.

The world No. 1 was two shots worse on Saturday (72) than Friday, but walked away from the round with all 14 clubs in the bag.

Look for a wet Nike 3-iron on eBay soon.
