This was awkward.

Ian Poulter took to Twitter on Sunday to show off his new Titleist staff bag after he made an equipment switch for 2015. Then, former PGA of America president Ted Bishop replied.

If you'll recall -- and how could you not -- Bishop referred to Poulter as a "lil girl" on multiple social-media channels after Poulter fired back in recently published memoir at 2008 Ryder Cup captain and apparent Bishop friend Nick Faldo.

The response came after Faldo, while working the Ryder Cup for Golf Channel, called Poulter teammate Sergio Garcia "useless" in the matches at Valhalla, the last European loss in the biennial series. Days later, Bishop was ousted as president of the PGA of America, about a month before his two-year term was to end.

Poulter didn't respond publicly to Bishop's tweet.
