Jamie Sadlowski hits the ball a long, long way. The two-time world long-drive champion is in the prime of his season as the RE/MAX World Long-Drive Championship unfolds this month before its televised conclusion in November.
In preparation, Sadlowski made a pit stop at Callaway Golf headquarters in California en route to Mesquite, Nev., for the qualifying rounds. Showing off on the range, Sadlowski hit some golf balls from his knees. At his best, he launched one 331 yards. That's unbelievable. Sure, it's 100 or so yards off from his personal best, but still. C'mon.
Sadlowski will be part of the eight-man group teeing it up Nov. 4 in Las Vegas for the world championship belt and the $250,000 winner-take-all prize. For what it's worth, his qualifying drive was 409 yards.
