Before the first Trump International Golf Club opens in Dubai in 2015, the developer announced Saturday it would be constructing a second Trump track. Damac will build another 18-hole Trump facility, called Trump World Golf Club, in Dubailand's Akoya Oxygen project.

This new course will be designed on the space once occupied by the failed project known as the Tiger Woods Dubai, what was to be Woods' first course design to open. The project was announced in December 2006, but after the worldwide recession began in 2008, money for the effort dried up quickly. The project was suspended indefinitely in 2011.

Trump International Golf Club Dubai is a Gil Hanse design that will open in 2015. The designer for this second Dubai project is yet to be named.

“I have been hugely impressed with the quality and professionalism of everything in Dubai and it was a natural progression to bring another world-class course to the emirate," said Trump in a release.
