Austin Christopher was dumped by his girlfriend over the weekend. Instead of taking it like a rational human being, he decided to hop in his truck and do over $50,000 worth of damage to two upstate New York golf clubs.

The 23-year-old faces felony charges after he did several donuts on the ninth green at Harvest Hill Golf Course, then went to a par-3 course, Bob-O-Link Golf Club, and did some additional damage to the practice facility. Christopher may well have gotten away with it were it not for a reversal of course at Harvest Hill. He was originally headed for the 18th green, but changed his mind and went to the ninth. The decision took him and his truck past a security camera.

Neighbors heard Christopher in his truck and called police around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. Police apprehended Christopher shortly after, with turf still stuck to his wheels. He was initially released on bail, but was picked up again once the damage to the second course was understood.

The courses both opened the next day, with Harvest Hill using a temporary ninth green.
