With Rory McIlroy bringing Tiger Woods' career mortality into the spotlight this week at the Tour Championship, it's hard not to think back to Woods' glory days -- or even the days before his peak.

ESPN's Darren Rovell dug up Nike's first-ever Tiger Woods print ad, which landed in the Wall St. Journal on Aug. 29, 1996, just days after Woods won his third consecutive U.S. Amateur title at Pumpkin Ridge. Woods made his professional debut the next week at the Greater Milwaukee Open, repeating the "Hello world" tagline before a T-60 finish.
