Toledo Mud Hens turn outfield into natural grass mini-golf course

FOLLOW: iHEART | TUNEIN

What's a minor-league baseball team to do with a perfectly good field of grass when the baseball season ends? The Toledo Mud Hens decided to turn that prime pitch into a mini-golf course.

From Sept. 25-28, the Mud Hens' home, Fifth-Third Bank Stadium, will be home to The Links at Fifth Third Field, an 18-hole course that winds throughout the outfield and finishes at the top of the pitcher's mound. The course costs $15 to play, with a portion of the green fee supporting local charities.

If you don't get a chance to try your luck at the Mud Hens' course, then too bad. The field will then be converted into an outdoor ice rink for the cold Ohio winter.
