When you're 25, newly single and worth nine figures, the world is your oyster. Rory McIlroy has a lot of opportunities, business and personal -- so many, in fact, that he has to say no more often than he says yes.

McIlroy was on the 15th hole in his final round at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday when a female fan, who is Cleveland-area model Ashley Bongiovanni, at the rope line saw the new world No. 1 turning her way. With her male companion behind her, the fan played with her long, blonde hair and coupled it with a wry smile as she tried to get McIlroy's attention.

It didn't work. McIlroy went right on putting.

If the Irish papers have it right, McIlroy (these days) prefers brunettes.
