In case you haven't noticed, Tiger Woods has been awfully efficient in 2013.
Tiger Woods has won five times, assumed the world No. 1 ranking again and is dominating the PGA Tour money list. But equally as staggering as those numbers are, his per-hole earnings this season are incredible.
CBS Sports' Eye on Golf did the math, and Tiger Woods has earned $8,637 per hole played this year. Next best on the PGA Tour were Adam Scott at $4,894 per hole and buddy Steve Stricker, coming in at $4,331 per hole.
The math's pretty simple: Tiger Woods has played 14 events this year, making the cut in all of them. That would typically equal 56 rounds of golf, but Woods was sent packing in the first round of the WGC-Accenture Match Play in a 2-and-1 loss to Charles Howell III.
So, Tiger Woods has played 52 rounds plus 17 holes (953 altogether) and earned $8,231,839 on the PGA Tour. That means he has earned $8,637 per hole, $155,318 per round and $587,988 per tournament this year.
Good work.
