The early round buzz in the final round of The Barclays was focused on the matching monochromatic outfits of Cobra-Puma Golf staffers Rickie Fowler and Jonas Blixt.
Fowler, who typically wears all orange on Sundays in honor of his attending Oklahoma State University, was paired with Blixt, who swore he would be a matcher with Rickie if they were ever paired together in a final round.
The result?
Well, Fowler closed with 1-under 70; Blixt shot 81, raising his all-orange-outfit scoring average to 81.
But, did Blixt at least look better than his playing partner? Maybe. They're about the same build. Who cares. BRING ON THE PICTURES OF GOLF FANS UNNECESSARILY DRESSED LIKE RICKIE!
This guy's version isn't very eye-opening.
When doing something like this, it's always good to dress as a group. That way, your group -- not you -- stands out. Unless you wear red when the other nine people in your posse are wearing orange.
It stands out even more in this photo.
It's almost as though these guys have been reading those posts that show Rickie Fowler's scripting for major championships...then forgetting it completely and just deciding to go monochrome in four different colors.
A smart move here: just going with the hat to avoid any kind of unnecessary attention.
A wig is a great way to engage in some Rickie Fowler cosplay. Wait, is that Mark Calcavecchia? It is!
