One of the best moments of the 2013 NBA Draft was when Brazilian-born Lucas Noguiera was selected by the Boston Celtics. (His rights were later traded to Dallas, who traded them to Atlanta, but never mind.)
As his name was announced, Noguiera was handed a Celtics hat to wear on stage while taking his photo with outgoing NBA commissioner David Stern. Noguiera's outstanding do was the talk of the draft for a while.
It got us thinking about some of the best hair in golf, so we nominate these five players.
Miguel Angel Jimenez
The best hair in golf isn't even really all that close. The Spaniard has long hair that looks good down but also in a pony tail. Of course, the omnipresent cigar as an accessory helps the case.
As girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki refers to him, the Curly One has a heck of a mane. For one, it's curly, but not in an unwieldy way. It matches his boy-ish Ulster good looks, and it just kind of matches up with his voice.
The Masters champion has a little curl in his do, but the Masters champion doesn't let the hair take away from the rest of his look. He's gone with more of a buzz cut before, but has settled into this look that's fitting of a green-jacket winner, fashion icon and lady killer. (He does have a girlfriend, though.)
Robert Rock
You may not know much about this English player, but Rob Rock is the Rob Roy of golf. The guy's hair is perfect. It always looks like he just came out of a salon with a perfect blow-dry. Rock's hair is so great that he is one of a few players that doesn't wear a hat when he plays. Who needs ad money from a hat deal when your hair looks like that?
Ben Crane
When we said "head of hair," we didn't say how much hair. As we all know, bald is beautiful, and few in pro golf wear that look better than Ben Crane. (Stewart Cink was in the running here, but he's not as meticulous with the razor as Crane seems to be.) The look works for Crane, but make no mistake about it, that hat tan has to be brutal. So when the haired say it costs less to be bald, just remember, bald folks replace shampoo with sunscreen and bronzer.
