Annika Sorenstam's final LPGA Tour event before "stepping away" from the game at the end of this season is officially over.  Finishing her second round one stroke worse than yesterday (75 on Friday), Sorenstam was assured to not make the third round of the ADT Championship.

She is not alone, though.  LPGA Tour money list leader and Player of the Year winner Lorena Ochoa will also miss the Saturday round with the same two round total as Sorenstam.

Among the other popular names missing the weekend in the LPGA Tour's final event are Cristie Kerr, Morgan Pressel, and Laura Diaz.

Meanwhile, two players that have become familiar names atop LPGA leaderboards in recent weeks - Australian Katherine Hull and last week's winner Angela Stanford - again lead the pack.  Hull posted a round of one-under par to finish the first leg of the event at -5.  Stanford shot the round of the day (67) to qualify for the weekend in second place.

Paula Creamer will also make the cut.  If she is able to win the ADT Championship and its $1 milliion first place prize money, she would win the LPGA Tour money title.  She qualified in third place.

Though the leaders will have the advantage of momentum going into Saturday's round, they will not have the benefit of their cumulative score versus the competition.  For the sixteen players that tee off on Saturday, they will start equal.  The players with the eight best rounds will advance to Sunday's final round, another reset, and a free-for-all for the grand prize.
